If you go way back in time (May 21, 2015 to be precise), you’ll see Jack Lin’s first Instagram post at Lost Forty Beer on his @PharmtoFoodie account. Over the past 10 years, his knowledge and intuition about branding and marketing have grown, as has his passion. A pharmacist by day—hence the name Pharm to Foodie—Jack touts himself as a “food documentarian” rather than a restaurant reviewer. He attributes this influence to his father, who still carries a DSLR camera to capture landscapes and still lifes. “Everyone has different tastes; my job is to bring those to the forefront through imagery and shared experiences.”

Did you have a favorite meal as a kid?
My mom has an incredible ability to prepare Chinese family-style dinners every day after work. I’m talking two, three, or even more dishes! Some of my favorites include her tomato egg, handmade potstickers, and pickled cucumbers. Before my parents opened their own television repair business, Lin’s TV, my mom honed her skills in the kitchen at Leung’s Chinese. We have fond memories from behind the counter of this small take-out joint. Mt. Fuji also holds a special place in my memories—it was the go-to spot for extra special meals, hosting out-of-town visitors, birthdays, and more.
What new restaurant or menu have you been most excited to try?
I’ve been uber excited about Three Fold’s revamp of their menu. They are a usual staple for us. Any place that changes up their menu and creates unique specials gets a plus in my book.
Go-to cocktail?
I’m a fan of anything bourbon-based. The Tea Thyme from Deluca’s Breckenridge stands out as a favorite.
What are a few of your favorite recent finds in the food world?
I’m known for frequenting chain restaurants—I believe they play a vital role in the food scene. But my true favorites are the “hole-in-the-wall” spots—places with a story, character, and a unique charm. I credit my work family for recently introducing me to Too Sweet Bar & Grill and Sunshine Mart, both of which have quickly become part of our lunchtime rotation, which also includes K Hall & Sons and Sim’s Bar-B-Que.
What has been your favorite thing about sharing food posts with followers?
Food has an incredible way of bringing people together—it’s the ultimate connector. Through shared experiences, I’ve had the opportunity to “break bread” with fellow foodies and my followers, creating a sense of community around a love for great meals. I’ve watched @PharmtoFoodie grow organically as a brand, and I hope businesses recognize the true value of influencer marketing in the food space.
Sweet or salty?
Salty. I’m definitely an omelet over pancakes kind of guy. Though I will likely never turn down a bag of gummy bears.
Favorite local coffee?
Leiva’s Coffee has been a longtime favorite of mine. During pharmacy school, I spent time in Guatemala on a medical mission trip, so I love that their beans come straight from a family farm there and are roasted locally. I’ve watched them grow from their facility in North Little Rock to their Express location on Cantrell and now out to Roland. Their bagged coffee is my go-to local gift.
What’s next for Pharm to Foodie?
One of my goals for 2025 was to expand into more impactful endeavors like philanthropy and fundraising. Recently, I’ve been involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Arkansas Visionaries fundraising campaign running through May 16. This experience has allowed me to blend my professional life with the restaurant world by organizing proceeds nights, securing business sponsorships, and leading individual fundraising efforts.
