Coming to SoMa: Tamale Taste-off

Fiesta en SoMa is back, and this year it has an exciting addition to the festivities: a Tamale Taste-off! For $15, attendees will have the chance to try an array of tamales made by local participants and vote for their favorites—all while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Fiesta en SoMa, which celebrates the city’s Latino cultures. You’ll find art, dance, music, and food vendors as well as a kids zone along Main Street in SoMa. It’s all happening Friday, October 4 from 4-9 p.m.

Calling All Tamale Makers

Want to enter to the competition? Winners have the chance to win $500 (first place) and $250 (runner-up), so grab those corn husks and get to work. Register at somalittlerock.com to compete.
